The unique design features a recycled plastic tub that allows you to directly fill the bed with soil, protecting the timber from rot and boring insects.
Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, these raised garden beds are a convenient, portable and low impact way to grow your own herbs and vegetables or colourful flower bed.
Construction: These garden beds are built strong from solid treated pine, screwed together with galvanised batten screws (normally used for large timer joints and house frames - each screw has more than 1,000kg shear strength, and there are more than 32 of these in even the smallest garden bed!) Your Corrogarden is over-engineered for strength, longevity and rust resistance.
Drainage: Plastic tubs are corrugated, so your garden bed will be delivered with a 12mm hole in each corrugation (the lower trough). We have a drainage channelling product add-on if to collect drainage overflow and channel away or into a watering can. Available to add in the checkout.
Assembly:
Final assembly of this kit takes about 15mins, and is pretty straight forward but requires somebody with a little experience, and access to the following power tools:
- Electric drill - ot better an impact driver
- Work bench (or flat ground surface)
- Protective equipment (gloves, eye protection, mask, hearing protection)
- Mallet (optional)
