Castors are a popular option to allow the raised garden beds and planter boxes to be easily moved.
Castors are fixed direction on one end, and 360-degree swivelling with brakes on the other end. This gives the greatest level of steering control and stability. Castors are heavy-duty and have a total weight capacity of 280kg. The colour of castors may vary.
Adding Castors to your raised garden bed will not change the overall height of your garden bed (timber legs will be shortened to allow for the castors)
There are a few reasons why you might want to have a raised garden bed on wheels:
- Mobility: If you have a raised garden bed on wheels, you can easily move it around your yard to find the perfect spot for it. This is especially useful if you have a small yard or limited space, as you can move the bed to wherever it gets the most sunlight.
- Ease of access: A raised garden bed on wheels can be easily moved to a more accessible location, which can make gardening tasks such as planting, watering, and harvesting easier for those who may have mobility issues.
- Flexibility: If you have a raised garden bed on wheels, you can easily change the location of your garden bed to suit the changing seasons. For example, you can move the bed to a spot with more sunlight in the summer and a spot with less wind in the winter.
Castor size varies based on the weight of the garden bed, price varies from $59 to $79. Please select the castor size for your order.
