A great way to recycle water and nutrients from any overflow!
The overflow channelling is made from a half pipe under the drain holes, which is directed to a 1m long, 22mm corrugated hose connected with a rubber connector to allow for easy unblocking and maintenance. Longer hoses can be added for $3/m.
While the overflow channelling will capture 95% of overflow, it is not a 100% watertight system. Watering can flow through the breather holes in the sides of the tub, and some water might escape the garden bed ends.
Even with a capture system, we recommend limiting over-watering - excessive overflow can leach the soil of nutrients, requiring more regular fertilising.
