A large raised garden bed on wheels with a trellis and pot shelf, built from timber. It's 157 cm long and 60 cm wide with the planting surface at 80 cm, which is waist height, and a galvanised steel mesh trellis runs along the back. Plant, weed and pick standing up, then roll it to follow the sun through the seasons.
It ships Australia-wide as a flat-pack kit, about 80% built with the holes pre-drilled. Our tools pack has the bits and a spanner; you bring a drill. Allow a bit over an hour with the trellis and wheels. If you get stuck, give us a ring.
How does a raised garden bed on wheels move?
On four braked castors: two fixed and two that swivel. They roll best on hard, flat ground like decks, pavers and concrete. Once it's full it's heavy, so move it slowly and put the brakes on when it's parked.
Why a trellis and a pot shelf?
Beans, cucumbers and tomatoes head up the steel mesh and make a leafy screen as they fill in. The pot shelf keeps seedlings and spare pots within arm's reach.
Is the kit the same bed you deliver in Queensland?
Yes. It's the same bed we build for local customers, packed flat: arsenic-free MCA treated hoop pine with a recycled plastic tub inside to hold the potting mix and keep the timber dry.
Don't need wheels? See the raised garden bed with trellis and pot shelf. Prefer knee height? Try the planter box with trellis, pot shelf and wheels.

What do I fill it with?
Quality potting mix straight into the tub. No base layers or crushed rock needed. Capacity: 23cm Depth = 110 litres, 35cm Depth = 220 litres, 41cm Depth 270 litres. Full step-by-step: how to fill your raised garden bed.
How deep should your garden bed be?
23 cm is the budget pick, ideal for herbs, flowers, lettuce and other shallow-rooted plants (it dries out quickest, so it likes part shade or regular watering). 35 cm is the sweet spot most customers choose: it handles tomatoes, capsicums and most veggies while holding moisture well. 41 cm suits root veg like carrots and potatoes, plus potted citrus. It holds moisture best and is the heaviest when full.
Can I move it once it’s set up?
Yes. It rolls on heavy-duty outdoor castors (280 kg combined capacity, 400 kg on the 41 cm-deep LARGE): one fixed pair, one 360° swivel pair with brakes. Best on hard, flat surfaces like decks, pavers and concrete.
Will my deck or balcony get wet underneath?
The tub has drainage holes in the base, so water drains out underneath. On a deck or balcony, add the Drainage Capture kit: it channels overflow away or straight into a watering can.
Will the timber rot or attract termites?
It’s arsenic-free MCA treated hoop pine, built to resist both. If it’s going on grass or bare ground, we recommend a paver or our protective feet under each leg to break the moisture and termite highway. Full guide: Care & Maintenance.
How often will I need to water?
Shallower tubs (23 cm) dry out faster in full sun; 35–41 cm hold moisture longer. The drip watering kit with timer makes it set-and-forget.
How hard is the assembly?
Kits arrive around 80% pre-assembled. Most people are done in about 30 minutes. Bring your own drill and a mallet; every screw and bolt is in the box, plus our tools pack with the bits and a 13mm spanner. Step-by-step Assembly Guides are here, full details in Assembly & Tools below, and we’re happy to talk you through it on the phone any time.
Garden Bed Kit Assembly Made Easy
Your kit turns up about 80% built. We do as much as we can in the shed and still pack it flat, so you’re bolting together a few big pieces, not hundreds of bits. If you’ve used a drill before, you’ll be right.
Quick Assembly Times
- Basic garden bed kit assembly: 30 minutes
- Adding castors: +15 minutes

What to BYO
- A drill. An impact driver is even better for the screws.

- A hex bit
- A Phillips head bit
- A 13mm spanner
