A double-width timber raised garden bed kit, 157 cm long and 110 cm wide, with the planting surface at 80 cm. That's waist height, and you can work it from all four sides.
It ships Australia-wide as a flat-pack kit, about 80% built with the holes pre-drilled. Our tools pack has the bits and a spanner; you bring a drill. Allow about 40 minutes for the wider frame, plus about 15 if you add wheels.
Why a wide raised garden bed?
Two tubs side by side give you a lot more growing area in one spot, with no out-of-reach middle. Run two crops next to each other, use a different potting mix in each, or plant it as one big patch.
Can I get it on wheels?
Yes. The wheeled option comes with the 23 cm tubs and uses braked castors, which roll best on hard, flat ground like decks, pavers and concrete. A filled bed is heavy, so move it slowly.
It's the same timber bed we build for local customers, packed flat: arsenic-free MCA treated hoop pine with recycled plastic tubs inside to hold the potting mix and keep the timber dry.
Want it lower? See the wide planter box kit at 50 cm. Don't need this much room? The large raised garden bed kit is 60 cm wide.

What do I fill it with?
Quality potting mix straight into the tub. No base layers or crushed rock needed. Capacity: 23cm Depth = 2x110 litres, 35cm Depth = 2x220 litres, 41cm Depth 2x270 litres. Full step-by-step: how to fill your raised garden bed.
How deep should your garden bed be?
23 cm is the budget pick, ideal for herbs, flowers, lettuce and other shallow-rooted plants (it dries out quickest, so it likes part shade or regular watering). 35 cm is the sweet spot most customers choose: it handles tomatoes, capsicums and most veggies while holding moisture well. 41 cm suits root veg like carrots and potatoes, plus potted citrus. It holds moisture best and is the heaviest when full.
Can I move it once it’s set up?
Yes. It rolls on heavy-duty outdoor castors (280 kg combined capacity, 400 kg on the 41 cm-deep LARGE): one fixed pair, one 360° swivel pair with brakes. Best on hard, flat surfaces like decks, pavers and concrete.
Will my deck or balcony get wet underneath?
The tub has drainage holes in the base, so water drains out underneath. On a deck or balcony, add the Drainage Capture kit: it channels overflow away or straight into a watering can.
Will the timber rot or attract termites?
It’s arsenic-free MCA treated hoop pine, built to resist both. If it’s going on grass or bare ground, we recommend a paver or our protective feet under each leg to break the moisture and termite highway. Full guide: Care & Maintenance.
How often will I need to water?
Shallower tubs (23 cm) dry out faster in full sun; 35–41 cm hold moisture longer. The drip watering kit with timer makes it set-and-forget.
How hard is the assembly?
Kits arrive around 80% pre-assembled. Most people are done in about 30 minutes. Bring your own drill and a mallet; every screw and bolt is in the box, plus our tools pack with the bits and a 13mm spanner. Step-by-step Assembly Guides are here, full details in Assembly & Tools below, and we’re happy to talk you through it on the phone any time.
Garden Bed Kit Assembly Made Easy
Your kit turns up about 80% built. We do as much as we can in the shed and still pack it flat, so you’re bolting together a few big pieces, not hundreds of bits. If you’ve used a drill before, you’ll be right.
