The waist-high garden bed, flat-packed to your door — anywhere in Australia.
And because it stands on legs rather than sitting in the ground, it’s never a permanent fixture — reposition it as your garden changes, or add a set of wheels to make it fully portable.
This is the same bed as our SEQ best-seller — full-length timber, 80 cm tall, so you weed, water and harvest standing up — engineered to travel as a flat-pack kit. It arrives around 80% pre-assembled: panels built, holes pre-drilled, every fixing in the box, plus our tools pack with the bits and a spanner. You bring the drill. Most people are done in about 30 minutes with a power drill.
At 157 cm long there’s room for a proper crop — tomatoes along the back row, herbs and salad greens up front — on a deck, patio or straight onto the lawn.
Fill the recycled plastic tub with potting mix and you’re planting the same day. The tub carries the soil and the moisture; the timber stays dry and lasts for years.
Made in Queensland, shipped Australia-wide in manageable boxes — nothing over 35 kg, and parts break down to 7 kg carries from your doorstep. Pick your tub depth above and it’s on its way.

What do I fill it with?
Quality potting mix straight into the tub. No base layers or crushed rock needed. Capacity: 23cm Depth = 110 litres, 35cm Depth = 220 litres, 41cm Depth 270 litres. Full step-by-step: how to fill your raised garden bed.
How deep should your garden bed be?
23 cm is the budget pick, ideal for herbs, flowers, lettuce and other shallow-rooted plants (it dries out quickest, so it likes part shade or regular watering). 35 cm is the sweet spot most customers choose: it handles tomatoes, capsicums and most veggies while holding moisture well. 41 cm suits root veg like carrots and potatoes, plus potted citrus. It holds moisture best and is the heaviest when full.
Can I move it once it’s set up?
Empty, it’s an easy two-person lift. If you’ll want to chase the sun through the seasons, the wheels version rolls on braked castors: switch to it under “Choose a variation” above.
Will my deck or balcony get wet underneath?
The tub has drainage holes in the base, so water drains out underneath. On a deck or balcony, add the Drainage Capture kit: it channels overflow away or straight into a watering can.
Will the timber rot or attract termites?
It’s arsenic-free MCA treated hoop pine, built to resist both. If it’s going on grass or bare ground, we recommend a paver or our protective feet under each leg to break the moisture and termite highway. Full guide: Care & Maintenance.
How often will I need to water?
Shallower tubs (23 cm) dry out faster in full sun; 35–41 cm hold moisture longer. The drip watering kit with timer makes it set-and-forget.
How hard is the assembly?
Kits arrive around 80% pre-assembled. Most people are done in about 30 minutes. Bring your own drill and a mallet; every screw and bolt is in the box, plus our tools pack with the bits and a 13mm spanner. Step-by-step Assembly Guides are here, full details in Assembly & Tools below, and we’re happy to talk you through it on the phone any time.
Garden Bed Kit Assembly Made Easy
Your kit turns up about 80% built. We do as much as we can in the shed and still pack it flat, so you’re bolting together a few big pieces, not hundreds of bits. If you’ve used a drill before, you’ll be right.
Quick Assembly Times
- Basic garden bed kit assembly: 30 minutes
- Adding castors: +15 minutes
- Adding a trellis: +20 minutes
What to BYO
- A drill. An impact driver is even better for the screws.
- A mallet or hammer.
- For a trellis, a G clamp helps, but you can do without.
What’s in our tools pack
- A hex bit
- A Phillips head bit
- A 13mm spanner
- A couple of spare bolts and screws
The screws and bolts for the build come in their own labelled bags, and the QR code on the hardware box takes you to the step-by-step guide. Every guide is also on our Assembly Guides page.
