A proper timber planter box — knee-high, with headroom for things that grow tall.
And because it stands on legs rather than sitting in the ground, it’s never a permanent fixture — reposition it as your garden changes, or add a set of wheels to make it fully portable.
At 50 cm, this is the pick when your plants need the vertical space: potted citrus, screening hedges along a fence line, or anything you’d rather keep lower against a balcony rail. Still well off the ground — you’re planting and picking without kneeling in the dirt.
Same full-length 157 cm footprint as our big beds: room for a hedge row, or a mixed planting of herbs and veg with space to spare.
Inside the frame sits the same recycled plastic tub — potting mix straight in, planting the same day, and the timber underneath stays dry for the long haul.
Made in Queensland and delivered assembled across SEQ. Choose a tub depth above and it lands in your yard ready to plant.

What do I fill it with?
Quality potting mix straight into the tub — no base layers or crushed rock needed. Capacity: 23cm Depth = 110 litres, 35cm Depth = 220 litres, 41cm Depth 270 litres. In our SEQ delivery area we can even deliver it filled and ready to plant — add the Potting Mix Fill service. Full step-by-step: how to fill your raised garden bed.
How deep should your garden bed be?
23 cm is the budget pick — ideal for herbs, flowers, lettuce and other shallow-rooted plants (it dries out quickest, so it likes part shade or regular watering). 35 cm is the sweet spot most customers choose — handles tomatoes, capsicums and most veggies while holding moisture well. 41 cm suits root veg like carrots and potatoes, plus potted citrus — best moisture retention, heaviest when full.
Can I move it once it’s set up?
Empty, it’s an easy two-person lift. If you’ll want to chase the sun through the seasons, the wheels version rolls on braked castors — switch to it under “Choose a variation” above.
Will my deck or balcony get wet underneath?
The tub drains through 12 mm holes at every corrugation. On a deck or balcony, add the Drainage Capture kit — it channels overflow away or straight into a watering can.
Will the timber rot or attract termites?
It’s arsenic-free MCA-treated pine — built to resist both. If it’s going on grass or soil, we recommend a paver or our protective feet under each leg to break the moisture and termite highway. Full guide: Care & Maintenance.
How often will I need to water?
Shallower tubs (23 cm) dry out faster in full sun; 35–41 cm hold moisture longer. The drip watering kit with timer makes it set-and-forget.
