The clever maths of a low planter box: more trellis for your climbers.
And because it stands on legs rather than sitting in the ground, it’s never a permanent fixture — reposition it as your garden changes, or add a set of wheels to make it fully portable.
Because the box sits at knee height, climbing plants get the longest possible run up the 163 cm trellis — beans, cucumbers and tomatoes make it to the top with room to spare. The pot shelf holds seedlings, potted herbs, or whatever’s next in the rotation.
At 157 cm long you can grow a full wall of green — a productive screen that turns a plain fence into the best-looking corner of the yard.
Underneath it all, the recycled plastic tub takes potting mix straight in: planting the same day, timber staying dry for the long haul.
Queensland-made and delivered assembled across SEQ. Choose a tub depth above and start your climbers this weekend.

What do I fill it with?
Quality potting mix straight into the tub — no base layers or crushed rock needed. Capacity: 23cm Depth = 110 litres, 35cm Depth = 220 litres, 41cm Depth 270 litres. In our SEQ delivery area we can even deliver it filled and ready to plant — add the Potting Mix Fill service. Full step-by-step: how to fill your raised garden bed.
How deep should your garden bed be?
23 cm is the budget pick — ideal for herbs, flowers, lettuce and other shallow-rooted plants (it dries out quickest, so it likes part shade or regular watering). 35 cm is the sweet spot most customers choose — handles tomatoes, capsicums and most veggies while holding moisture well. 41 cm suits root veg like carrots and potatoes, plus potted citrus — best moisture retention, heaviest when full.
Can I move it once it’s set up?
Empty, it’s an easy two-person lift. If you’ll want to chase the sun through the seasons, the wheels version rolls on braked castors — switch to it under “Choose a variation” above.
Will my deck or balcony get wet underneath?
The tub drains through 12 mm holes at every corrugation. On a deck or balcony, add the Drainage Capture kit — it channels overflow away or straight into a watering can.
Will the timber rot or attract termites?
It’s arsenic-free MCA-treated pine — built to resist both. If it’s going on grass or soil, we recommend a paver or our protective feet under each leg to break the moisture and termite highway. Full guide: Care & Maintenance.
How often will I need to water?
Shallower tubs (23 cm) dry out faster in full sun; 35–41 cm hold moisture longer. The drip watering kit with timer makes it set-and-forget.
