Privacy Screen COMPACT - Add On

Turn your garden bed into a screen. Instead of the growing mesh trellis, we run horizontal timber slats up the two rear legs — the same MCA treated pine as the bed, the same boards you already like the look of.

How high does it stand?

The screen finishes 1.6m off the ground. That is standing eye level for most adults, and it is the whole point of this height: sitting down or standing at the bed you can see out, and someone walking past cannot see much in.

What do I get?

• Seven to nine horizontal slats, spread evenly and finishing flush with the top of the legs
• Two 1.6m legs in place of the standard legs — the screen is part of the frame, not bolted on afterwards
• A clean single span — the compact bed is narrow enough that it needs no centre rail
• Built, screwed and delivered with the bed, ready to use

A couple of things to know

This replaces the growing trellis — it is not an extra on top of it. A bed has one set of tall rear legs, and they carry either the climbing mesh or the privacy slats. If you want beans and cucumbers climbing, choose the trellis. If you want to block a view, choose the screen.

Available with your garden bed order only. The screen legs replace the bed's own legs, so it is built in at the workshop rather than retrofitted later.
