Our COMPACT garden bed planter boxes on wheels/castors are 81cm long, 60cm wide, and 50cm high and available in three planting depths - 23cm, 35cm. and 41cm.
- 23cm deep are economical on soil and perfect for your favourite herbs. or flower bed
- 35cm deep is great for larger plants like tomatoes, capsicums and even root vegetables like carrots and potatoes!
- 41cm deep for larger plants, even potted citrus, or for the gardener who likes to water less regularly!
Wheels are a great addition to your planter box to allow you to move the garden bed to follow the sun for the seasons, move out of the sun on hot days, out of a storm, or even move into the rain!
Outdoor castors are heavy-duty with a combined capacity of 280kg, with one end being fixed direction, and the other 360-degree swivel with brake - giving full and safe control to move your garden bed on any hard flat surface like a deck or on concrete.
These garden beds are perfect for window boxes or lower set planting on your balcony, patio, lawn or backyard veggie patch.
The unique design features a recycled plastic tub that allows you to directly fill the bed with soil, protecting the timber from rot and boring insects.
Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, these raised garden beds are a convenient, portable and low-impact way to grow your own herbs and vegetables or colourful flower bed.
Construction: These garden beds are built strong from solid treated pine, screwed together with galvanised batten screws (normally used for large timer joints and house frames - each screw has more than 1,000kg shear strength, and there are more than 32 of these in even the smallest garden bed!) Your Corrogarden is over-engineered for strength, longevity and rust resistance.
Drainage: Plastic tubs are corrugated, so your garden bed will be delivered with a 12mm hole in each corrugation (the lower trough). We have a drainage channelling product add-on if to collect drainage overflow and channel away or into a watering can. Available to add in the checkout.
Note:
- 23cm and 35cm deep tubs have planting height of 50cm
- 41cm deep tubs have planting height of 63cm due to the tub size + wheel
Assembly:
Final assembly of this kit takes about 15mins, and is pretty straight forward but requires somebody with a little experience, and access to the following power tools:
- Electric drill - ot better an impact driver
- Work bench (or flat ground surface)
- Protective equipment (gloves, eye protection, mask, hearing protection)
- Mallet (optional)
